Paco Versailles is a Los Angeles duo made up of guitarist Peter Kalisch and producer Robbie McDonald, better known as Dances With White Girls. The project pairs nylon-string flamenco guitar playing with house and disco production, borrowing from French touch and Balearic dance music. The result leans instrumental, with the guitar carrying most of the melodic weight over steady four-on-the-floor rhythms, and the group performs live with the guitar played on stage rather than sampled.
