Jon Bellion
A songwriter's songwriter who writes hits for everyone else, then plays his own with a full band and no cynicism.
Jon Bellion grew up in Lake Grove, on Long Island, and built a following through self-released mixtapes and self-produced videos before signing a major-label deal. As a writer he contributed the hook to Eminem's "The Monster" and co-wrote Jason Derulo's "Trumpets", and he has since become a sought-after producer and co-writer, working on records for Justin Bieber and the Jonas Brothers among others.
His own music, including the album The Human Condition, blends pop melody with hip-hop rhythm and dense, layered production, much of it handled himself. He performs with a full band, and his songs tend toward earnest, direct subject matter rather than irony.
