Veteran Connecticut roots-pop road dogs — earnest, anthemic songs built for singing along ("Nothing More" soundtracked half of network TV).
The Alternate Routes formed in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in the mid-2000s around singer and songwriter Tim Warren. The band plays melodic roots-influenced rock with an emphasis on plainspoken lyrics and choruses built for crowds to join in on. Their song "Nothing More," written in connection with the Newtown Kindness organization, became their most widely heard piece of music and turned up repeatedly in television placements. The group has spent much of its existence touring, with a lineup that has shifted around Warren over the years.
