The Menzingers

No festival dates we track

Scranton punk band writing about getting older badly: old apartments, old friends, drinking. Choruses designed to be shouted back.

Greg Barnett and Tom May trade lead vocals and guitar in The Menzingers, who formed in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 2006 out of two earlier local bands. Eric Keen plays bass and Joe Godino drums, a line-up that has held since the start.

"On the Impossible Past" in 2012 turned them from a Pennsylvania punk band into a fixture on Epitaph, and "After the Party" pushed further into looking back at your twenties from the wrong side of thirty. Barnett's songs name streets and bars directly, and the band plays them fast with two guitars doubling the hooks.
