Armor For Sleep formed in New Jersey in the early 2000s around singer, guitarist and songwriter Ben Jorgensen. Signed to Equal Vision Records, they released Dream to Make Believe in 2003 and followed it with What to Do When You Are Dead and Smile for Them, developing a sound that set emo and pop-punk song structures against reverb-heavy guitars and a colder, more atmospheric production style than most of their peers. The band broke up at the end of the 2000s before reuniting in the 2020s to play their earlier material again.
