Atmosphere is a hip-hop duo from Minneapolis, formed in 1994, consisting of rapper Slug (Sean Daley) and producer Ant (Anthony Davis). The group is closely tied to Rhymesayers Entertainment, the independent label Slug co-founded, which became a hub for Midwest underground rap.

Ant's production leans on dusty, sample-based boom bap, while Slug's writing is conversational and often unsparingly personal, dealing with relationships, drinking, family and self-doubt as much as with rap craft. The combination made Atmosphere one of the more widely heard independent hip-hop acts of the 2000s, sustained largely through touring and word of mouth rather than radio.
