Odd Future's earliest alum turned West Coast staple — smooth, hustler's-optimism rap from a lifer who's been putting Inglewood on since his teens.

Casey Veggies was born Casey Joseph Jones on July 18, 1993, in Inglewood, California, and started releasing music as a young teenager, putting out his first mixtape, Customized Greatly Vol. 1, at fourteen under the stage name Custom. He co-founded Odd Future in 2007 alongside Tyler, the Creator, Hodgy, Left Brain, the Super 3 and Jasper Dolphin, appearing on the collective's earliest release before choosing to build a solo career instead.

His reputation grew through the Customized Greatly series and the mixtape Sleeping in Class, which spread widely online in the early 2010s. He worked closely with YG around this period and later signed to Epic Records; his 2015 single "Tied Up," featuring Dej Loaf, went on to receive a gold certification from the RIAA.

Veggies's raps favour a conversational, laid-back delivery over West Coast production, built around ambition, independence and neighbourhood loyalty. After finishing high school he opened for Mac Miller's Blue Slide Park Tour, and went on to perform alongside Nipsey Hussle, Dom Kennedy and Kendrick Lamar as well as his former Odd Future peers.

He released a collaborative mixtape, Fresh Veggies, with fellow rapper Rockie Fresh in 2013, featuring production from Hit-Boy, Jahlil Beats and Lunice, and separately paired with Los Angeles rapper Dom Kennedy on another joint project. His debut studio album, Live & Grow, arrived in September 2015 through Epic Records.

A second album, Organic, followed in 2019. Alongside his music career, Veggies co-founded the clothing label Peas & Carrots International, which he has described as built on strategic partnerships, limited merchandise runs and a steady social media presence.
