Future is the stage name of Nayvadius Wilburn, an Atlanta rapper and singer connected through family to Rico Wade of Organized Noize and the wider Dungeon Family circle. He built his reputation on a run of mixtapes in the mid-2010s — among them Monster, Beast Mode and 56 Nights — working closely with producers including Metro Boomin, Zaytoven and Southside.
His records pair heavily processed, Auto-Tuned singing with slurred, repetitive hooks, and lyrics that move between drug-blurred excess and open exhaustion. Studio albums include Pluto, DS2 and HNDRXX, alongside collaborative projects with Drake and, more recently, with Metro Boomin. He has had a long run of commercially successful singles, including "Mask Off" and "Like That," and his vocal approach has been widely imitated across rap and R&B.
