Circus Records co-founder whose 'I Can't Stop' riff became one of dubstep's most-sampled moments — even Jay and Kanye borrowed it.

Flux Pavilion is the recording name of Joshua Steele, a producer and DJ from Towcester in Northamptonshire. With Doctor P and others he co-founded Circus Records, the label that became a hub for a heavy, melodic strain of British dubstep in the early 2010s. His productions lean on lurching mid-range bass, big vocal hooks and drops built for large rooms, and he has also worked across drum and bass tempos and more song-based electronic material.

"I Can't Stop" remains his best-known track, its central vocal sample and synth line carried well beyond dance music after Kanye West and Jay-Z used it on "Watch the Throne". He has continued to release music and tour as a DJ and, at times, with live setups.
