French crew who came up through drum and bass and never lost the punk energy — genre-hopping bass sets played like a rock show.

Dirtyphonics formed in Paris in 2004, beginning as a drum and bass outfit before broadening into dubstep, electro house and other bass-driven styles. The group came out of a background in rock and metal, and carried that approach into their production and performance, with distorted guitars and aggressive arrangements sitting alongside the electronic elements.

They released music through labels including Dim Mak and Never Say Die, and have worked on remixes for artists across electronic and rock music. Their live shows are structured more like band sets than conventional DJ appearances.
