One of dubstep's original architects — the pre-brostep London sound, wobbly and rooted in sound-system culture, straight from the scene's foundational era.

Caspa is a producer and DJ from London and one of the figures most associated with dubstep's first wave in the mid-2000s. He runs the Dub Police label and, working often alongside Rusko, helped push the genre's heavier, more melodic and openly rowdy side into wider circulation — the Fabriclive mix the pair recorded in 2007 is generally treated as a document of that moment. His productions carry the sound-system lineage the scene grew out of: weighted sub-bass, half-time drums and the swung, garage-derived rhythms of early London dubstep, built to be played loud on a proper rig.
