Circus Records co-founder — 'Sweet Shop' is effectively a foundation stone of UK dubstep, and the wobble has aged into legend.

Doctor P is the alias of British producer Shaun Brockhurst, a figure in UK dubstep and one of the founders of Circus Records, the label he established alongside Flux Pavilion and others. His music sits at the heavier, more melodic end of the genre, favouring sharply defined synth leads and the elastic, mid-range bass modulation that came to define the style's commercial peak.

His track "Sweet Shop" remains the release most associated with him, and it was widely imitated in the years that followed. Beyond his own productions, Brockhurst's work at Circus helped shape the sound of a generation of British bass producers, and he continues to release and perform as a DJ.
