Framing Hanley

1 festival played

Nashville rock band from the late-2000s post-grunge wave, back after a hiatus with the same big-chorus instincts intact.

Framing Hanley formed in Nashville in 2005 around vocalist Kenneth Nixon. Their 2008 debut, The Moment, drew wide attention largely through a rock reworking of Lil Wayne's "Lollipop," a cover that became the band's best-known recording and pulled them onto radio and touring bills alongside other late-2000s post-grunge and alternative rock acts. Subsequent albums included A Promise to Burn in 2010. The group stepped away for several years before reconvening, keeping the same approach: mid-tempo, guitar-driven rock built around large, clearly sung choruses.
