Knuckle Puck
Chicago-area group who came up in the 2010s pop-punk revival, pairing scrappy melodic hooks with a rawer emo streak than most of their peers.
Knuckle Puck formed in 2011 in the Chicago suburbs and became one of the more prominent names in the pop-punk wave that ran through the middle of that decade. Their sound leans on layered guitar melodies and rough-edged group vocals, with a heavier debt to late-2000s emo than many bands working the same circuit, and lyrics that tend toward self-examination rather than nostalgia.
The group built its early following through a run of EPs and split releases before moving to full-length albums, and has toured widely alongside other bands in the American pop-punk and emo scene.
