Remember Sports began at Kenyon College in Ohio in 2012, originally under the name Sports, and later relocated to Philadelphia. The band, led by singer and guitarist Carmen Perry, plays fuzzed indie rock with roots in power pop and pop punk: short songs, clipped guitar hooks, and vocals that slide between deadpan delivery and something closer to a shout.
Their records, released through Father/Daughter and Big Scary Monsters, trace a gradual move from lo-fi recordings toward tighter, fuller arrangements while keeping the lyrical focus on ordinary frustration, friendship and self-doubt. They have been a fixture of the Philadelphia DIY scene and have toured widely in small rooms.
