Rhonda Vincent & The Rage
The queen of bluegrass, a Missouri mandolin player and Opry member whose band drives hard behind a voice that works just as well on hard country.
Rhonda Vincent grew up performing with her family's group, the Sally Mountain Show, in northeast Missouri, playing mandolin and fiddle and singing lead from childhood. She spent part of the 1990s recording country for a major label in Nashville before returning to bluegrass and assembling The Rage, a band that has run through a long list of players while keeping the same hard-driving approach behind her.
Vincent has won the IBMA award for female vocalist of the year several times, and she was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2020. She also records duets, including a set of country material with Daryle Singletary.
