Sean Paul Henriques is a dancehall artist from Kingston, Jamaica, who became one of the genre's most widely heard voices in the early 2000s. He broke through internationally with the album Dutty Rock and its singles "Gimme the Light," "Get Busy" and "Like Glue," and the record won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album. His guest turn on Beyoncé's "Baby Boy" and, later, "Temperature" from The Trinity kept him on pop radio for years.
His style is built on a rapid, melodic patois flow over dancehall riddims, often adapted to fit pop and dance production. He has continued to record and to appear on hits by other artists, among them Sia's "Cheap Thrills" and Dua Lipa's "No Lie."
