UK producer whose mid-2010s dubstep is still the reference point for a whole strand of the genre — wobble-era heaviness, undimmed.

Zomboy is the alias of Joshua Mellody, an English producer from Rochester, Kent. He began releasing music in the early 2010s and became closely associated with the wave of heavy, aggressive dubstep that spread from the UK to North American festivals, appearing on labels including Never Say Die.

His productions favour dense, distorted bass design, sharp drops and short vocal samples, drawing on drumstep, glitch hop and trap tempos alongside dubstep's halftime feel. He later launched his own imprint, Rott N' Roll Records, and remains a touring DJ, with sets built around the same heavy, high-impact sound as his records.
