Tinie Tempah was born Patrick Okogwu in southeast London and spent years releasing music independently before Disc-Overy arrived in 2010. The album went to number one in the UK, was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, and won him two Brit Awards. He was one of the more visible rappers on British radio in that period, guesting on Swedish House Mafia's 'Miami 2 Ibiza' and later scoring hits with Jess Glynne on 'Not Letting Go' and Zara Larsson on 'Girls Like'. Two further albums, Demonstration and Youth, followed, both leaning further into dance and pop production.
