DevilDriver is a metal band formed in California in 2003 by vocalist Dez Fafara after his departure from Coal Chamber. The group plays groove-oriented metal with elements of thrash and death metal, built on down-tuned riffing and Fafara's harsh, shouted vocals.
The band has released a long run of albums and has kept up a heavy touring schedule for most of its existence, with a lineup that has changed a number of times around Fafara. They also recorded an album of country songs reworked in a metal style.
