Welded hardcore punk and metal onto hard dance — screamed vocals over hardstyle kicks, and a live show built around the collision.

Kayzo is Hayden Capuozzo, born in 1991 and raised in Utah, where he grew up playing hockey before moving to Los Angeles. In 2012 he enrolled at the Icon Collective production school, graduating after nine months, and began producing on a MacBook using the Massive synth plugin.

His career started that same year when he won Insomniac's Discovery Project competition, leading to his first DJ booking. Early releases included "Malfunktion 2.0", featuring vocal duo Duelle, put out through Borgore's label Buygore Records, alongside collaborations with Slander on "Gettin Down" and Jordan Alexander on "Recoil".

He worked with Australian producer Seek N Destroy on the heavy, sub-bass-driven "Crank" in 2014, released the EP "Fired Up" through Firepower Records, and appeared on a Krewella-curated compilation for Ministry of Sound. Further collaborations followed with Cesqeaux, Gammer, and Yultron alongside Ookay and Dotcom.

His debut EP, Welcome to the Doghouse, appeared in 2016 through an earlier version of his label, and he later put tracks out through outside imprints too, including Steve Aoki's Dim Mak and Canada's Monstercat, home to singles such as "This Time" and "Whistle Wars".

He released three full-length albums, Overload in 2018, Unleashed in 2019, and New Breed in 2022, all issued on Welcome Records, the label he founded to house his own material and that of similarly aggressive producers. Off stage, Capuozzo is in a relationship with fellow DJ and producer Cray.
