Dutch brothers who came up in hardstyle, left for big-room and made a second career there, and still play the hard sets that named them.

Showtek are the Dutch brothers Sjoerd and Wouter Janssen, who built their name in hardstyle in the mid-2000s with tracks aimed squarely at the large indoor events that scene runs on. They moved away from the genre around 2011, remade themselves for the main-stage electro and big-room circuit, and had success there with collaborations alongside artists including David Guetta and Tiësto.

The hardstyle set returns to the earlier material and the harder tempos: reverse bass, kick drums pushed to the front of the mix, and the sing-along hooks that hardstyle crowds carry themselves. The brothers also run the Skink label, which handles most of their own releases.
