Kingfishr are a trio from Limerick, Ireland, who met while studying engineering at university there and began releasing music in the early 2020s. Their sound is rooted in folk-rock, with banjo and acoustic guitar underpinning large, harmony-led choruses, and draws on both Irish traditional playing and the wave of stadium-scale folk revivalism of the 2010s. They built an audience quickly in Ireland through singles such as "Killeagh" and "Eyes Don't Lie", and their live sets are built around communal singing.
