A restless folk singer who performs like the songs might get away from him if he stops moving — pew-jumping revival energy nightly.

Langhorne Slim is Sean Scolnick, who took his stage name from his hometown of Langhorne, Pennsylvania. He has recorded both alone and with a backing band, and his songs draw on folk, country and early rock and roll, delivered in a cracked, high tenor that can shift from a whisper to a holler within a line.

His catalog includes "The Way We Move" and "Changes," and his writing tends toward plainspoken accounts of restlessness, love and recovery. Onstage he is an unusually physical performer, moving constantly and often stepping away from the microphone or into the crowd, which has made his live show a large part of his reputation.
