Noah Kahan is a singer and songwriter from Strafford, Vermont. He began releasing music in his late teens, initially in a pop-leaning acoustic style, before moving toward the folk-rock arrangements — banjo, acoustic guitar, layered group vocals — that characterise his later work.

His songwriting draws heavily on rural New England, dealing with small-town life, family, mental health and the tension between leaving and staying. His album Stick Season and its title track brought him a substantially larger audience, and his live shows are known for audiences singing choruses back at full volume.
