Two decades of American bass music from someone who spent them booking and releasing it as well as playing it.

Reid Speed is an American DJ and label operator who came up in the New York drum and bass scene before relocating to the West Coast. Beyond DJing, she has worked as a record buyer, promoter and A&R figure, and runs the Play Me Records imprint, which has released bass music across drum and bass, dubstep and adjacent tempos. Her sets tend to move between those styles rather than staying at one BPM, and she has been a visible presence in American bass music for roughly two decades, both as a performer and as someone helping route other artists' records into circulation.
