Sir Chloe is the project of songwriter and guitarist Dana Foote, formed in 2018 while she was studying at Bennington College in Vermont and later based in New York. The band's early recordings circulated widely online, with "Michelle" becoming the song most listeners encounter first.
The music sits between bedroom pop and garage rock: clean, deliberately spare arrangements, guitar lines that lean on repetition rather than volume, and vocals delivered low and close to the microphone.
