Steve Ignorant was the main vocalist of Crass, the anarcho-punk collective formed in Essex in the late 1970s and based at the Dial House commune. Crass paired blunt, shouted vocals with collage art, self-released records and an explicitly anarchist and pacifist politics, and their approach to running a band independently influenced punk far beyond their own recordings.
In this configuration Ignorant performs Crass material with a live band, drawing on the songs from the group's late-1970s and early-1980s catalogue. The arrangements stay close to the originals: fast, abrasive, and delivered in his flat Dagenham shout.
