The Bar Stool Preachers formed in Brighton and are fronted by TJ McFaull. Their music combines ska and reggae rhythms with street punk, favouring upstroke guitar, horn lines and gang vocals, and their lyrics deal directly with politics, class and community. The band's records have been released through Pirates Press, the American label with long-standing ties to the ska and Oi! scenes, and they have built their following largely through steady touring in the UK, Europe and the United States.
