TV Smith was the singer and principal songwriter of The Adverts, one of the first wave of British punk bands, responsible for songs including "Gary Gilmore's Eyes" and "One Chord Wonders". He has worked steadily since, largely as a solo performer with acoustic guitar. The Bored Teenagers are a backing band that allows him to play the Adverts material and his later songs in full electric arrangements.
