Kill Lincoln

1 upcoming festival

DC's frantic, horn-driven ska-punk revivalists — technical, self-aware, and relentlessly fun. Core to the new ska class Fest has embraced.

Kill Lincoln formed in the Washington, DC area in 2008 and became one of the more visible bands in the current wave of American ska-punk. Their sound combines fast punk tempos and pop-punk melody with horn arrangements, closer in spirit to the third-wave bands of the 1990s than to traditional Jamaican ska, and their lyrics often turn inward, dealing with anxiety, self-doubt and the awkwardness of playing ska in the first place.

The band has been closely tied to the wider DIY ska community in the United States, including work with the Bad Time Records label, and is known for energetic, quick-moving live sets.
