DC duo making a genuinely enormous racket for two people — fuzz, sludge, and swagger in the Death From Above tradition.

Teen Mortgage are a two-piece from Washington, DC, working with guitar and drums alone. Their music leans on distorted riffs, heavy low end and shouted vocals, sitting between garage punk, sludge and noise rock, and the arrangements are built to sound larger than the number of players would suggest. Songs tend to be short and riff-led, with a sense of humour running through them. The band came up through the DC underground and is known chiefly as a live act.
