Sacramento sisters churning out bratty, hooky garage-punk — fun, fast, and tight, with Ramones economy and sibling-locked harmonies.

Dog Party is a two-piece from Sacramento, California, made up of sisters Gwendolyn and Lucy Giles, who began playing together in 2009 while still in their early teens. Lucy plays drums and Gwendolyn plays guitar, with both sharing vocals, and the group has remained a duo throughout its history.

The songs are short, fast and melodic, built on Ramones-style economy and the hooks of 1990s pop-punk and garage rock. The sisters' close vocal harmonies run through every record, giving even the rawest tracks a tight, rehearsed feel.

Their catalogue runs from a self-titled debut in 2009 through P.A.R.T.Y in 2011, Lost Control in 2013, Vol. 4 in 2015, Til You're Mine in 2016 and Hit & Run in 2018, all released on independent labels as the band moved from teenage side project to a steady touring act.

In 2016 they opened for Green Day on the North American leg of the Revolution Radio tour, one of several support slots that have put the sisters in front of older punk audiences built up over decades.
