Against All Authority formed in Miami in 1992, combining ska-punk with hardcore punk and explicitly anarchist politics. The band pairs horn lines with fast, abrasive guitar and shouted vocals, a mix that placed them closer to the hardcore end of the 1990s ska revival than to its poppier acts. They recorded for Hopeless Records and worked largely within the DIY punk network, and their material deals consistently with class, policing and state authority.
