Iron Reagan
Richmond crossover-thrash featuring Municipal Waste members — blistering, funny, and violently fast, thirty-song sets over before you catch your breath. The bill's designated whiplash.
Iron Reagan formed in Richmond, Virginia in 2012, bringing together vocalist Tony Foresta and Phil Hall of Municipal Waste with players from the city's hardcore scene. The band plays crossover thrash in its most compressed form: songs frequently under a minute, thrash riffing welded to hardcore punk tempos, with shouted vocals and abrupt endings.
Lyrically they mix political anger with deadpan humour, and their albums — including The Tyranny of Will and Crossover Ministry — pack large numbers of tracks into short running times. Their live sets follow the same logic, running through songs at speed with little pause between them.
