East London MC and former Roll Deep member whose deadpan, sidelong bars have long drawn leftfield producers to him — grime at its most abstract.

Trim is an MC from Bow, east London, who first came to attention as a member of Roll Deep in the early years of grime. He left the crew and built a solo catalogue through mixtapes and independent releases, developing a style that sets him apart from most of his contemporaries: slow, deadpan delivery, oblique wordplay and a tendency to sit slightly behind or across the beat rather than riding it.

That approach has made him a favourite of producers working outside grime's mainstream, and he has recorded with figures from the experimental electronic world as well as with grime producers. His records tend to be sparse and strange, with the vocal left exposed.
