Destroy Lonely is an Atlanta rapper, born Bobby Sandimanie III, the son of Disturbing tha Peace rapper I-20. He built an audience through a long run of loosely released mixtapes before signing to Playboi Carti's Opium label, and is usually grouped with that roster's take on rage-adjacent trap. His delivery is flat and unhurried, often half-sung and heavily processed, set against sparse, bass-heavy beats with a lot of empty space in them. The mixtape No Stylist and the album If Looks Could Kill did most to establish him outside the internet circles where he started, and fashion references are a constant thread in both his lyrics and his public image.
