Esdeekid is a rapper from Liverpool who emerged in the early 2020s as one of the more widely heard voices in the city's drill scene. He raps in a pronounced Scouse accent, usually over sparse, slow-moving beats, and tends towards a half-sung, laid-back delivery rather than the clipped aggression associated with earlier London drill. His songs circulated first through streaming and short-form video, and his regional accent became a large part of what listeners identified him by, at a point when UK rap outside the capital was gaining a wider audience.
