Utah post-hardcore band out of the late-2000s scene era, keeping the theatrical screams and synth-tinted choruses fully intact.

Get Scared formed in Utah in 2008 and came up alongside the wave of post-hardcore and scene bands that dominated the American club circuit at the turn of the 2010s. Their songs pair screamed and clean vocals over palm-muted riffing, with synth textures and large choruses, and the band has always leaned into a horror-tinged visual presentation to match.

The group went through vocalist changes in its early years before settling back with original singer Nicholas Matthews, and has continued releasing records and touring for audiences who came to the style in its first run.
