The former Flyleaf vocalist under her own name, carrying that same raw-throated conviction into solo hard rock.

Lacey Sturm is an American rock singer best known as the original vocalist of Flyleaf, the Texas band she fronted from its formation until she left in 2012. Her singing there moved between clean melodic lines and abrasive screams, and her lyrics drew openly on her Christian faith and her own history of depression, which she has also written about in book form.

Her solo material stays in hard rock territory, built around the same voice and much the same subject matter: struggle, belief and survival, delivered with more grain than polish. She has continued to record and perform under her own name since leaving Flyleaf, and has guested with other rock and metal acts.
