Infinity Song is made up of siblings Abraham, Angel, Israel and Momo Boyd, with Victory Boyd a member of the group for several years. Raised in Detroit before the family moved to New York, they grew up singing in a choir led by their father, John Boyd, and carried that close harmony into busking sessions around Central Park, Grand Central Station and Times Square.
A chance encounter with singer Tori Kelly in 2014 led to an appearance on The View. Two years later, director Jeymes Samuel passed along footage of the siblings busking to Jay-Z, who invited them to Roc Nation's offices and signed them. The group went on to appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Good Morning America.
Their music centres on close family harmony applied to soft rock, folk and soul arrangements, with clean guitar work and layered vocals rather than heavy production.
Through family friend Jon Batiste, the band connected with Kanye West and contributed writing and production to his album Jesus Is King, also singing in West's Sunday Service Choir. Their own albums include Mad Love in 2020, its expanded Deluxe edition in 2021, and the Metamorphosis EP in 2023, which added a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" to six originals. The song "Hater's Anthem" brought them a much wider audience after circulating on TikTok.
Momo Boyd stepped out on her own too, featuring on Baby Keem's "Good Flirts" alongside Kendrick Lamar and releasing a solo EP, Miss Michigan. The group performed an NPR Tiny Desk Concert and released a fourth, self-titled album.
