Ukrainian DJ whose melodic techno sets found an enormous audience through livestreams — scenic-backdrop streams turned into real-world bookings.

Korolova is a DJ and producer from Kyiv who works in melodic techno and progressive house. She traces her interest in electronic music to 2004, when she saw Gabriel & Dresden play live. For years afterward she performed as DJ Da Queen, playing EDM sets, until a 2017 appearance at Daydream Festival convinced her to retire that name and work under her own.

She built much of her audience through filmed sets shared online, performing at open-air locations and landmarks with the camera taking in the surroundings as much as the booth, a format that carried her music well beyond Ukraine and led to club and festival bookings internationally.

Her sets favour long, patient builds, arpeggiated synth lines and vocal fragments over steady four-to-the-floor drums, closer to the emotive end of the style than to its harder, more industrial side. She has recorded with producers including Spada, Franky Wah, Two Are and Alar, and released through labels such as Ultra, Armada and Get Physical before founding her own imprint, Captive Soul, in 2023, which also runs live events.

In 2023 alone she played more than 100 shows across 50 countries, and she has since entered the DJ Mag Top 100, ranked 60th in 2024 and 50th in 2025. The war in Ukraine forced her from her home country; she has since lived in Poland and Lisbon, Portugal, where she is currently based.
