Swedish-house heir — euphoric progressive anthems polished to a stadium shine.

Alesso is the stage name of Alessandro Lindblad, born in Stockholm to Swedish and Italian parents. He started on piano at seven and turned to electronic dance music at sixteen, releasing a self-titled debut EP in 2010 that first drew attention to him.

In 2011, Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia reached out and began mentoring him, teaching him to DJ and guiding his early production; Alesso has called him a big brother. Their collaboration "Calling" reached number two on the Beatport chart and was later reissued as "Calling (Lose My Mind)" with an added Ryan Tedder feature.

His records lean on long build-ups, bright synth leads and drops designed to carry across large outdoor crowds, with a pop sensibility that has led to frequent work with guest vocalists.

Alongside "Calling (Lose My Mind)," he built a catalogue including "Years" with Matthew Koma and "Heroes (We Could Be)" with Tove Lo. He signed to Def Jam Recordings in 2014, only the second EDM producer to join the label after Afrojack, and released his debut album, Forever, in 2015, moving between big-room progressive house and more straightforward dance-pop.

His live sets tend to combine his own material with edits and remixes, and over the years he has worked with a wide range of pop and dance artists, from Katy Perry and David Guetta to Zara Larsson and Anitta.
