MaRLo is the producer and DJ Marlo Hoogstraten, born in the Netherlands and long based in Melbourne, Australia. He works in the harder end of trance, favouring heavy kick drums, tech-trance grooves and large melodic breakdowns, and he has also released tracks that lean toward hard dance and harder techno tempos.
His releases have come largely through Armada Music, where he runs the Reaching Altitude imprint, and his tracks have been a regular presence in A State of Trance radio and event programming. He performs as a DJ rather than with a live band, and his sets are built around his own productions and edits.
