Marlon Hoffstadt is a DJ and producer from Berlin who has been releasing music since the mid-2010s, initially in a house vein and for a period under the alias DJ Daddy Trance. His sets and productions lean on the melodic, hands-in-the-air side of trance and hard house, drawing on the sounds of 1990s and early-2000s European rave and playing them without irony. He co-runs the Midnight Sun Recordings label, and his profile grew considerably through short-form video clips of his club and open-air sets, which helped push the trance revival of recent years to a wider audience.
