Noah Cyrus is a singer and songwriter from Tennessee, the youngest child of Billy Ray Cyrus, who began releasing her own music in her teens. Her earliest singles leaned toward mainstream pop, but her later work moved steadily toward country and folk-inflected songwriting, with sparse arrangements and a soft, close-miked vocal delivery.

Much of her material deals with anxiety, grief and family, and she has recorded a number of duets with other songwriters working in similar territory. Her records have been received as a distinct body of work rather than an extension of her family's country and pop careers.
