Ora Cogan is a Canadian singer and guitarist based on the west coast of British Columbia. She has released records steadily since the late 2000s, moving from sparse folk toward fuller arrangements that draw on dream pop, shoegaze and darker post-punk textures. Her writing tends to favour modal melodies, reverb-heavy guitar and a high, drifting vocal that sits inside the arrangement rather than on top of it. She has toured widely, often solo or with small backing configurations.
