Liberty-spiked American street punk that took the UK82 sound and made it louder — Pomona's most committed mohawks.

Total Chaos are a street punk band from Pomona, California, active since the late 1980s. Fronted by vocalist Rob Chaos, they took cues from early-1980s British punk — fast, simple riffs, shouted gang choruses and overtly political lyrics — and pushed the sound toward hardcore tempos.

The band became closely identified with the visual side of the style, with spiked hair, studs and leather, and helped keep that strand of punk visible in the United States through the 1990s. They have toured extensively and recorded for Epitaph among other labels.
