Choking Susan is a punk band from Michigan, fronted by vocalist Colleen Caffeine, whose aggressive, physical stage presence is the group's best-known feature. The music is fast, short and stripped down, closer to late-1970s and early-1980s punk than to anything more polished, with shouted vocals over three-chord riffs. The band has toured extensively in Europe, particularly in the UK, where it has found a steady audience on the street-punk and DIY circuit.
