Tucker Wetmore grew up in Kalama, a small town in southwest Washington, and came to music after a college football career was cut short by injury. He moved to Nashville and began writing there, and his songs first reached a wide audience through streaming, with "Wind Up Missin' You" among the tracks that established him.
His music sits in the contemporary mainstream of the genre, pairing conversational, heartbreak-centred lyrics with production that draws as much on pop and hip-hop rhythm as on traditional country instrumentation. He sings in a low, unhurried register, and much of his material returns to small-town settings, past relationships and the passage of time. He signed with UMG Nashville and has toured widely as a support act while building out his own headline shows.
